Who are we?

Merle and Reo Pratt.  Parents of six children, grandparents of 21 grandchildren.  Merle is a passionate quilter who has been quilting, in one form or another, for over 40 years.  She's been a "Long Arm quilter" for about three years now, and acquired her own APQS Millenium Long Arm machine in August of 2011.  Reo has been assisting with quilts in one way or another, for over 50 years, beginning with helping to set up quilts for his grandmother, great-aunt Minnie and his mother since he was a child.  Prior to acquiring the Long Arm machine, we set up quilts (usually for tying) on our wood frames.  Reo doesn't consider himself to be a "quilter" but loves everything about quilts, quilters, and the artistry in quilting.  Reo is passionate about Merle, their children and grandchildren, airplanes, and lots of other varied things including quilting.  When the decision was made to acquire a Long Arm machine, Reo and Merle looked at everything out there, and chose the APQS primarily because we were impressed by the quality of the machine, and the fact that it is constructed from aircraft grade aluminum.  It's light weight, which, coupled with its smooth two-axis roller system and computerized stitch-length regulator, makes it a pleasure to use.

The APQS Millenium machine, manufactured by American Professional Quilting Supply of DesMoines, Iowa, has an electronic stitch length regulator, and moves over a twelve foot frame, so we can easily acomodate quilts    King Size and bigger.  For more information on the APQS Millenium, you can go to their website at www.APQS.com.
